FAMILY WORSHIP

Welcome to our resources for family worship page. This is a space to help families worship God together and to equip parents to actively evangelize and disciple their children in the home.​ We’ve gathered simple resources and tools around five core practices: Read, Pray, Sing, and Live.

The Biblical Mandate for Family Worship

A Robust Model for Family Worship​

Read

  • Consistently and systematically read through the Scriptures together as a family. Briefly explain and apply these truths (see resources below for help). If a family reads one chapter of the Bible per day, by the time a child turns 18, he or she will have heard/read the Bible at least five times.

 

Pray

  • Eternal life consists of more than living forever; it includes knowing and enjoying God forever. Teach your children that we have bold access to the Father through faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for your church, the advance of the gospel, the lost, and their souls. Encourage your children to pray. 

 

Sing

  • Fill your home not only with sound doctrine, but with the sound of doxology. Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

Live

  • Worshipping God as a family is not merely an event on the family calendar—it must be a lifestyle! Cultivate an environment that is rich in biblical truth. Teach them how to serve God in everyday life, belong to the church, and preach the gospel.
